FUNDING
Community Care is a registered charity (1191520) run by Trustees and an Executive Committee (in Charity Commission speak) that makes sure we remain solvent and operate in a safe, legal manner. The trustees and committee members are volunteers; the two job-sharing managers, Claire Barker and Alison Thornhill, are salaried. We own the bus and pay a commercial rent for the office. All this costs about £25,000 a year for which we receive not a penny in regular funding from Parish, District or County Councils; nothing from the NHS or any charity. We rely totally on the charges we make for trips, (but that income goes straight back out in expenses or petrol for the bus),donations and interest on bequests that have been generously made in the wills of service users who have gone to the great heavenly community of care.

We do have a Community Fund to encourage anyone to make a donation, either regular or one off. Please fill in this form to request an application form or call in the office.
